Very attractive hotel both in the interior and exterior. Conveniently located and easily found. Room was large and well appointed and staff very accomodating.
There was a clock above the headboard that ticked. Although it was quiet, as I am a light sleeper I would have prefered it wasn't there.
We chose Morangie House Hotel as a convenient overnight stop from Northumberland to Scrabster to catch the ferry to Stromness. It proved a comfortable hotel with a pleasant room, good, attentive staff, a pleasing restaurant and generous breakfast. If we were to make a similar journey we would return.
The hotel drive needs an additional layer of gravel to make it more acceptable in wet weather.
Convenient location,good staff,good beds,very good breakfast.
Potholes in driveway, unkempt exterior of boilding, poor shower unit-mould around bath (room 3),nobody seemed to know where the blankets (that should have been in the room cupboard) were stored.
The hotel was very welcoming and the accomodation was spacious and clean. The food was very good with a wide selection of choices and was excellent quality.
The resteraunt service was a bit slow and not up to the standard it used to be 7 years ago.
One of the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed. Beautiful country hotel with spacious and clean room. The full English breakfast (with Haggis) was very very good! The Price was resonable and fair.
Although the weather was wet and cold the hotel was warm and inviting. Our rooms were lovely and big and very comfortable, warm and clean. The ambiance is great and the fireplace lends towards a relaxing pleasant area to spend chatting to friends and family. The dining room and food was divine and even the teenage girls found something enjoyable on the menu. Our stay at Morangie House Hotel made our Scottish holiday even more memorable.
Very friendly staff,a hotel where you felt you really could relax
Very relaxing, excellent breakfast, good facilities, especially as my wife is disabled, helpful, polite staff. We stayed only one night, visiting family locally.
Easy going attitude, helpful staff and good food
The friendliness of the staff team akes the difference in my book. You can have a good place but if the team is poor then you will fail. The team here are a big asset to the business
This is a very nice family hotel in the outskirts of the small town of Tain just a short distance from the Glen Morangie destillery. The main building is a Victorian style mansion with a very nice atmosphere. The food offered in the restaurant was good to very good. For the golfer the location is very good with the courses of Tain, Royal Dornoch and Brora not far off. The hotel also offers a 10% discount on greenfees for all guests playing at Tain golf club. This is a place I would like to return to.
This hotel was good, staff friendly and helpful and food excellent.
We particularly enjoyed the quiet, spacious room, helpful staff and the excellent breakfast served in the pleasant dining room.
Very peaceful hotel, Excellent evening meals and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
peace and quiet, very nice atmosphere, all staff very friendly and helpful
